The Role:
Beeper seeks a Program Manager (Product Design + Marketing) to streamline, coordinate, and scale our processes in our mission to create the best chat app on Earth.
The Product:
Our service securely connects users' chat networks into a unified inbox—a single place for all your chats. We build native apps for Android and iOS and an Electron web app for desktops. As part of the Automattic family, open source and independent interoperability are integral to our DNA. Our business model is straightforward: we sell subscriptions for a great service. No ads.
At Beeper You Will:
- Work directly with our leadership team to plan, prioritize, and track progress towards an ambitious roadmap with multiple launches per year.
- Managing a program that spans product, marketing, and operations–building scalable processes that bring laser-sharp focus and coordination to the team.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in Creative Production, Design Operations, Program Management, or a similar field, with a proven track record of leading complex projects to fruition.
- Strategic Simplifier: Clear, concise, and structured thinker who effectively documents work to align the team.
- Burn-down Pro: Thrives in task management tools (we use Notion and Linear), keeping the cross-functional team accountable, organized, and focused.
- Design Champion: Passionate about driving the product design process forward and views the quality of the team’s work as a direct reflection of their own.
- Action-Oriented: Biased towards action and operates with ambition, creating processes that help the team do the same.
- Collaborative: Enhances team members to become the best versions of themselves through operationalization.
- Skilled Executor: Capable of operating at multiple levels within an organization—from long-term planning and prioritization with leads to running product reviews and stand-ups.
